Stewy

Stewy was left behind at a farm. His feet lacked attention, he was underweight and really was just lacking any true attention for awhile. A friend worked hard to rehab his weight, his coat, made him more comfortable with some pain relief and most importantly she kept an eye on him. He’s a cribber and a senior QH; so this has left his teeth in bad shape. We decided that the sanctuary was the best place for him. Since being here; he has seen our farrier and has shoes to help strengthen his feet as they grow out and will keep him more comfortable until they do. He’s still gaining weight, his coat continues to look better and he is fitting into the group quickly! He has been slowly weaned off the pain relief as he feels a lot better and no longer needs it! He maybe an old guy but he has plenty of good years left with the right attention.
